Clinic Update: Spring Samples Submitted to the Plant
Diagnostic Clinic
Over the past few weeks, cooler
weather has probably set back the
plants a little and resulted in fewer
submissions to the plant diagnostic
clinic.
In addition to some of the
problems described in last month’s
Missouri Environment and Garden,
we have received several greenhouse
samples including watermelon
seedlings infected with anthracnose,
zonal geraniums with oedema and
spider mite damage, and tomatoes
displaying epinasty, or downward
curling of leaves and distorted growth
consistent with exposure to exhaust
from the greenhouse heater.
We look forward to receiving your
samples. Please refer to the sample
submission section of our website
for more information on sample
submission.
