MU IPM Grants Program
One objective of the MU IPM Program is to disseminate information about effective and environmentally sound pest management practices to farmers, homeowners and their advisors. To fulfill this objective, accurate pest management information gained from carefully conducted research is required. Then, that information must be extended to target audiences through education activities and demonstrations. Each year the MU IPM Program funds several outreach and research projects.
Outreach Grants
These grants fund education activities and demonstrations conducted by regional extension specialists in their communities. Target audiences for these projects vary among the projects, but often include producers, gardeners, children, public agencies and private industry. The purpose of these projects is to demonstrate the effectiveness of integrated pest management at the local level.

Research Grants
These projects provide some of the information required to develop appropriate pest management recommendations. Research projects are conducted by University of Missouri faculty members and often require more than one year to complete.
