The Effect of Seeding Rate on Dectes Damage to Soybean Plants
The objective of the proposed experiment is to investigate factors in relation to Dectes stem borer to determine if low density plantings (i.e., larger diameter stalks and more bushy plants) compensate for the Dectes damage compared to higher density plantings.

Impact of Volunteer Corn in a Continuous Corn Production System
Control of volunteer corn in a continuous corn production system is not well researched. Research in the lower of the Corn Belt should be applicable to a number of important corn production states. Because corn has an intercalary meristem, the effectiveness of glufosinate (primarily a contact herbicide) and imazapyr (a systemic herbicide) on volunteer corn at different stages can be determined, as well as any competitive affect of the volunteer corn while present in a corn production system.

Evaluation of the Utility and Economics of High-input vs. Low-input Corn Production Systems in Missouri
One of the most significant issues currently facing corn producers in Missouri and throughout the Midwest is the increasing cost of crop inputs.
